eraser.photos helps you remove a caption, date stamp, or other small text overlay from an image you are allowed to edit.

Why this tool exists

Small text cleanups should be straightforward: open an image, brush over the words, review the rebuilt area, and save a copy. The tool is designed around that single task rather than a full photo-editing workflow.

How it works

The editor uses an image model in your browser to reconstruct the selected area from nearby pixels. Your image and result stay on your device. Simple backgrounds often work well; faces, sharp edges, and detailed textures need closer review. The tool cannot reveal the exact pixels that were under the text.

What guides the site

You can start without an account, select only the area you want to change, and download only after you have inspected it. We explain the limits of the result and ask you to use only images you have the right to modify.
