Terms of Service

Use the tool with permission and care.

These terms apply to your use of the browser-based image editing tool and content at eraser.photos.

The service

eraser.photos lets you mark text in an image and create a locally processed replacement for the selected area. No account or payment is required. The source image and edited result remain on your device unless you choose to share them elsewhere.

Your images and rights

You keep whatever rights you have in your images and results. You are responsible for each image you choose and each edit you use or publish. Only edit material you own or have permission to modify. The service does not give you rights in someone else’s photo, logo, likeness, or other work.

Prohibited uses

Do not use the tool for sexual, nude, sexually suggestive, or age-restricted content, content involving minors, exploitation, or non-consensual intimate imagery. Do not alter identity documents, passports, driver’s licenses, government records, or other documents to mislead or commit fraud. Do not remove rights-management marks, copyright notices, or watermarks from material you are not authorized to change. Do not use the service unlawfully, deceptively, or in a way that violates another person’s rights.

Because editing is local, we do not receive or review your images. You remain responsible for following these rules.

Review your results

The tool reconstructs a plausible area from nearby pixels; it cannot recover the exact hidden image. Quality varies with the source, resolution, text, and background. Inspect the result before using or publishing it, especially when accurate visual details matter.

Availability and changes

We provide the service as available, without a promise that it will always work, remain available, or produce a particular result. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses arising from an unsuitable edit or interruption of the service. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service and update these terms; the effective date will change when we do.
